

Jane A. Swanson passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2015, in Cape Coral, Florida. She was born in Waukegan, Illinois on July 11, 1921, the only daughter of William and Lillian (Howe) Chiswell. She grew up and went to school in Waukegan, Illinois and married her high school sweetheart Earl Swanson in July 1942. Jane worked at NOSCO Printing in Waukegan for twenty-five years before retiring to travel the world with her husband. She was preceded in death by Earl in July, 2003. Jane was a Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary F.O.E. Aerie #2157 and a Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Sharvin Post #397. She along with Earl started the Heritage Color Guard and was the Patrotism Chairman for her community in North Fort Myers. Jane is survived by her daughter, Faye Carter (Sammie), two grandsons, William E. Carter (Robbin) and Dale P. Carter (Cveta). There are four great-grandchildren, Christian, Isabelle, Tara and Zander and two great-great-grandsons Jaden and Kamren also surviving. Jane will be missed by her family and her many friends for her wit, fun loving sense of humor and her beautiful blue eyes. Arrangements are in the care of Marsh Funeral Home in Gurnee, Illinois. Visitation will held Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 5 to 7pm and Friday, August 28, 2015 from 9 to 10am with a funeral service following at 10am at Marsh Funeral Home. Interment at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Libertyville, Illinois.
