
Jerome (Jerry) Brolley passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Jerry was born on February 12, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Nannette. He is survived by their two sons Mark and William (Bill), daughter-in-laws Janet and Cathy; five grandchildren; Ryan, Daniel, John (Jack), Tracey, and Matthew. Jerry is also survived by his sisters Barbara (Jack) Genster and Mary Ann McLain, and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a US Navy Veteran. He taught US History at North Chicago Community High School, coached football and baseball there and served as the Dean prior to his last role as Principal. In his post-retirement, he sold real estate for CBS Realty of Waukegan and was a "Professional" driver for Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Jerry was a life-long golfer, predominately at Bonnie Brook-Where this year at the age 84 he had his first "hole-in-one"! He maintained relationships with faculty and students from NCCHS throughout his life. Those relationships were very meaningful to him on the golf course and/or at the poker table. Jerry was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 22, 2012 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd. Gurnee, Illinois, 9:00-10:00 am, services immediately following. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Anastasia School or your favorite charity will be appreciated.
