I’m so sorry for your loss. I knew John a couple of decades ago.  He was a bright light and I knew him for a “hot lap”.  I’m devastated by this loss.  Rest In Peace John.  

John was my best friend for nearly the last 10 years.
 We talked and laughed about nearly everything.
 We encouraged, inspired, listened to and sincerely cared for each other. 
I got John interested in running.  He once told me he could never run 5 miles.  I told him he could and he would.   He proceeded to start running with me and even worked up to a 20 mile training run astonishingly to him and me both.  We ran several 5k, 10k and half marathons together with him earning a few medals on placing in his age group. 
I will miss everything about him and I can wish him RIP knowing he deserves peace after a race well run.  I feel he ran the race  of a lifetime.  If only the finish line was much further away. 
John, you will forever live in my heart and I will honor and cherish the time we had together.  My sympathies to the Miller family.
 

Growing up in a small town, I will always remember the kids I grew up with. Love it or hate it we spent many years together at Millburn School and on Timber Lane…. John along with all my other classmates are always in my heart.  10 years after we graduated from high school, John reached out to me to say hi and revisit some of our shared memories. I was always touched by that even though we didn’t stay in contact. He remembered things I’d long forgotten, even the fact that we sat next to each other at our high school graduation! I want to send my condolences to the family, my prayers are with you at this difficult time. He obviously was a kind, caring and thoughtful person, loved by many.

  And yet there are thousands of words that I just can’t gather up to express my love and gratitude to all who have known John and have captured his smile, generosity, love of learning , sense of humor and sensitivity in their memories of John. 
I can say, he was also truly humble.

John was a beautiful individual with a brilliant mind.  I have considered him a close friend for many years, he was someone who listened, gave great advice and a person that I will keep in my heart forever.  I have always admired the Miller family with their closeness and values and hope everyone affected by this loss remains strong during this very difficult time. John was my next door neighbor.  My favorite memory of John is sitting in his garage,  laughing about all the stupid stuff we could think of, listening to classic rock, and just enjoying each others company.  He was the best neighbor ever.  I appreciated the fact that he would put up with my two dogs who would bark at any little sound.  They were rescued dogs.  One was severely abused by their last owners and really didn't like any men.  She loved John.  He had a way about him to make anyone feel safe around him.    

I will miss John and his smile.  

John, I know the Angels are watching over you now.  You will forever be a memory I will have for the rest of my life.  I will miss you so much!  

Mike and Noreen, so sorry to hear of your loss. Know you and your family are specially remembered in the Masses and prayers of the Sisters here at St Joseph Villa. May the God of all consolation comfort and sustain you during this difficult time. Your loss is Heaven’s gain!

I am very sorry to learn of your family’s loss. John was so much fun and one of the most intelligent, hysterical people I ever had the pleasure of having in my circle of friends. As a nurse myself, I’m certain of the impact he had on many, many people. God speed John, take rest from your last shift!

John will truly be missed in Surgery at CTCA.  He was an exceptional nurse, colleague and friend.      I personally have so many fond memories of John though the years we worked together.  He was a true gentleman.  I will miss our early morning conversations, coffee and endless laughter.  He positively touched so many people and his patients adored him.  John was hard working and dedicated to his Surgery family and will be forever in my heart and the hearts of everyone he worked with.

Thinking about John’s family and friends that are mourning his loss and remembering a top notch guy that could keep you laughing. I was lucky to have crossed paths with John while we both worked at Eagle Foods and I immediately made a new friend. We had a lot of fun at work and outside of work. I enjoyed hanging out with John and getting to know his amazing family. One fun time that sticks out was joining John and his family for a summer trip to Michigan.  Whenever I was around John, I was guaranteed laughs as he threw out witty one liners. The last   25 years I have been in the South so it has been a while since I have seen John, but I am so thankful for his friendship and for making high school and college more enjoyable. RIP John. You will be missed.

The operating room will not be the same at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America without our caring, exceptional and one of a kind friend and colleague John.

Thank you for everything and your commitment to the patients at CTCA. You will be forever missed. 





I clearly remember when the Miller boys moved  in to town and Jody Garland showing them around.   Fond memories of John with a video recorder and making home movies in middle school. I sat  with him in a High school  class when his father was asked to speak to our class about his job and John was so proud.   My heart goes out to the Miller family.  I am sorry for the loss of your John.
