Kenneth W. Wilson

Kenneth W. Wilson Age 82, of Gurnee, IL passed away June 3, 2010 at Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan, IL. Kenneth was born December 24, 1927 in Waukegan, IL. He was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and a machinist at Fansteel in North Chicago and Skatch in Antioch, IL. Kenneth married Irene Laitila (Brnot) on October 27, 1973. He is survived by his wife; four step children, Steven Laitila, Michael (Vivian) Laitila, Kevin Laitila, Karen Gorsline (James); his sister, Carol Roy (Don); three nieces, Lisa Roy, Donny Roy, Tara Buesing (Mark); his step grandchildren, Brian Laitila, Alan Laitila, Eric Laitila, Jeffrey (Violet) Laitila, Denice Laitila, Bradley Gorsline; and step great-grandson, James Laitila. Preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Mamie Wilson; and brother, Jerry Wilson. He was a Southside AC bowler- earning the nickname "Whip". He enjoyed golfing and bocce ball at Slovenic Hall. He was an avid reader and diehard Chicago Sox, Bulls and Bears fan. Services will take place at Marsh Funeral Home on June 6, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. Burial is private. Visitation from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., memorial at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association .
