

Linda was born on March 20, 1948 at Walter Memorial Hospital in Chicago to Edward and Dorothy Lenda.
Linda finished high school and had numerous jobs before she started working at Exchange National Bank, which later merged with Central Bank and La Salle Bank, for over 30 years. This is also where she met her best friend, Brigitte.
Linda lived with her aunt for several years in Chicago. After her aunt passed away, she decided to live in the suburbs to join Brigitte. She moved to Mundelein for 9 years and then to Beach Park. Linda moved into a 55 active adult community. She loved life in the suburbs and made lots of friends.
She loved the Peanuts Gang. If you ever worried about a gift for her, anything with Snoopy would do. She enjoyed playing cards, attending bingo nights, shooting pool with her friends and Linda also enjoyed golfing in her earlier years. She also, enjoyed reading books, from religious to adventure and thrillers. Linda was also a whiz on the computer.
Linda was a generous giver and never wanted anything for herself.
She loved animals, especially dogs. She had 4 dogs over the years; Charlie, Pepper, Lucky and Jada. They meant everything to her.
Linda belonged to Immanuel Church in Gurnee, IL and if she was unable to attend, she would listen to the live stream.
Linda was best known for her radiant smile. Her smile was like sunshine, “a gift from God”. The moment you saw her smiling, was the moment it made your day.
She was preceded in death by, Brian and Nancy Nork.
Linda is survived by her, Brigitte Kampe, Doris Rymkey, Karen and Tim Stack, Robert Lenda and Robert Nork.
A visitation for Linda will be held at the Marsh Funeral Home (305 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL) from 11:00am until 3:00pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 3:00pm with interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Zion, IL.
Linda will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her light and smile will live on in their hearts.
