Loreto Aplasca Piansay Jr.

Loreto, A. Piansay Jr., age 88, of Beach Park passed away on Saturday February 18, 2023 at Northshore Evanston Hospital. Loreto was born on July 14, 1934 in the Philippines to Loreto Piansay Sr. and Clara Aplasca. He married Nelita Relayson in the Philippines and the couple had 60 wonderful years together. Loreto worked as an accountant at Cook County Hospital for over 25 years until his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church. He enjoyed Sabong which was popular many years ago in the Philippines.

He was preceded in death by, his parents; two brothers, Graciano and Steve and his sister, Melly.

Loreto is survived by, his wife. Nelita; his son, Argyll; two grandsons, Nicholas and Ian; two sisters, Rusella and Teresita as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Loreto will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 10:00am at Church of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (15000 Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth, IL) with interment to follow in Ascension Catholic Cemetery (1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, IL). A visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the Marsh Funeral Home in Gurnee from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. There will be light food served during the visitation.
