Mildred L. Terchek

Mildred L.Terchek, 88 of Waukegan passed away on February 11, 2011 at Rolling Hills Manor. She was born in Waukegan, Illinois, on November 7, 1922, to John and Mary Zabukovec. Millie married John "Jay" Terchek on February 1, 1946, and they traveled to many places including Japan while Jay served in the active Naval Reserves. Millie retired from Waukegan Savings and Loan. Mille and Jay enjoyed golfing and were members at Bonnie Brook Golf Course. Millie was a member of Bonnie Brook Ladies Golf Association for many years before her health declined. Survivors include her sister Alice Pasiewicz, brother John (Jennie) Zabukovec , and sister MaryAnne (Al) Gilbert. Millie is further survived by her nieces Shirley Zatroch, Ohio, Joan (William) Marsh, nephew Edward (Gail) Pasiewicz, and nieces Jamie Zabukovec (Larry Thompson), Judy Derra, Janice (Richard) Davis, Julie (Rob) McKay, Geralynn Gilbert, and grand nieces and nephews, Billy (Jeannie) Marsh, Theresa (John) Brouillard, Michael Pasiewicz, Tesia Derra, Lindy, Eric, Torie, Alex Pasiewicz, and Meredith and Tanner Davis. She is also survived by great grand nieces and nephews, Nickolas, Amanda, Tyler, Brianna, Emma, Jacob, Adelina and Bekim. Millie was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary, her husband John, brother-in-law Edward "Buck" Pasiewicz, sister-in-law Janet Walker, and niece Junne Zappa. Visitation will take place Friday February 18, 2011 from 9:30 -11:00 am at St. Dismas Catholic Church 2600 Sunset Ave, Waukegan, IL, with Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Interment will be private.
