Nickolas P. Phillips

Phillips, Nickolas P. Age 71, passed away November 25, 2010 in Waukegan, IL. He was born October 28, 1939 in Greenbay, WI. Nickolas was a lifelong member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and an avid Indy car fan. He is survived by his wife Karen of 16 years; two sons, Theodore (Michelle) Phillips and Gus (Jennifer) Phillips; nine grandchildren; two brothers, James (Ruby) Phillips and Dick (Niki) Phillips; Nieces and nephews Peter and Steve Phillips and Irene and Frieda (nee Phillips); uncle George and Iris Pilafas; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Irene Phillips. The family will receive friends at the MARSH FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., where a Trisagion will take place at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1400 N. O'P.laine Road, Libertyville, IL, 60048 on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Father John Galenos Pilafas, Nickolas' first cousin, and Father Cosmas Halekakis. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
