Robert J Riley

Robert J. "Bob" Riley, of North Chicago, died on January 15, 2012 after a long battle with COPD. He was recently preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Irene. He is survived by his daughter, Donna (Jack) Adams, his son, Dennis Riley, grandson, Jay (Stacey) Adams and Dan (Mary Beth) Adams; great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Keira Adams; his brother Harold Riley and a special nieces, Dawn (Bruce) McClain. Born on October 24, 1926, Bob was a life-long resident of North Chicago. He was a proud Veteran of World War II having served in Africa with the Army Air Corps. Bob was a member of the Operating Engineers and worked all his life in construction and transportation. He retired from Great Lakes Public Works Center as a transportation supervisor and then worked for Newport Township retiring to care for his wife. Services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Marsh Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m. Friday with Service to follow. Burial will be at North Shore Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Save-A-Pet or to the charity of your choice .
