Selvakularani Visagaratnam

In loving memory of Selvakularani Visagaratnam (Rani), a devoted wife, mother, mother-and-law, grandmother, cousin, aunt, sister and friends to many around the world, passed away on April 1, 2025. She was born in Sri Lanka on October 1, 1952 to Nahamma and Selvaratnam. She is survived by her loving husband, Visagaratnam Selladurai, her daughter, Nishanth Sanjithkumar (Baba), her son-in-law Sanjithkumar Nithiananthan, her adoring grandchildren, Valle-Lilly and Vidya-Rosey, and her siblings Selvakularanjan Selvaratnam and Selvakulanathan Selvaratnam.

Our queen was a loving woman of unwavering strength and kindness, always putting the needs of her family first. She was selfless and found much joy in caring for her loved ones. She cherished spending time with her granddaughters, her hearts. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, joy, and unwavering support. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

The Hindu ceremony, wake and visitation will be held on April 13, 2025, from 8:30AM – 12:30PM, at Marsh Funeral Home (305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031). The Hindu ceremony will start promptly at 8:30AM, followed by prayers from chaplains, and sharing of memories by family and friends.
