Sylvia Maria Lopez, 52, resident of Gurnee and formerly of Waukegan, IL. passed away on May 27, 2013 in Gurnee. She was born in December 18, 1960 in Waukegan to Alfredo and Esther Lopez. Sylvia was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her parents Alfredo and Esther Lopez; 5 siblings, John (Jaine) Lopez, Judy (Vicente) Avalos, Gerald (Sharon) Lopez, Jaime Lopez and Samuel (Misa) Lopez; nieces and nephews; Cassandra and Kimberly Lopez, Natalia and Alex Avalos, Christian and Samantha Lopez; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 5 to 9 pm and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 at Marsh Funeral Home. Funeral mass is on Saturday at 11am at the Old St. Patricks Catholic Church, 15000 Wadsworth Rd. Wadsworth, IL. Interment at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
