Tama Rachelle Borg

Tama Rachelle Borg, born February 9, 1971 passed away in the evening Sunday July 4, 2010, at home, after a long fight with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. Rachelle worked for her father at Borg’s Construction Company for 19 years. Rachelle was a firefighter EMT for Bonnie Brook Fire Department for 5 years. For the past 5 years Rachelle has been employed at Highland Park Hospital as a Lab Technician. Highland Park Hospital supported her throughout her illness and Rachelle thought of them as an extended family. Rachelle was a published writer and also enjoyed ceramics, candle making, softball, and evenings at Ravinia with Phil. Rachelle is survived by her daughter Ashleigh; parents Keith and Tama Borg; brother Chad; fiancée Phil Marshall (Philly); grandparents Laurel and Tony Allen; nephews Kyle and Sean Borg; best friends, Stephenie, Carlene, Raeanne; Aunts Sharon, Terry, Robin, Foo, Colleen, Donna, Geri, Carol, Penny, Diane. Close family members Steve and Ginny Johnson and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Rachelle is preceded in death by grandparents, Philip Ellis, LaRoy Borg and Mildred Borg. Visitation will be held Friday, July 9, 2010 from 4 to 9pm and Saturday, July 10 from 10 to 11am with a funeral service at 11am at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL. Burial at Warren Cemetery.
