William Jones Jr.

Bill was born on November 6, 1925 in Pana, IL to his parents, William and Susan Jones. He attended Pana High school before enlisting in the United States Navy to serve during World War II. After the service, he moved to Waukegan IL and worked as a truck driver for Tewes Oil Company and retired after 35 years of service. He met his bride to be Rose Perez in 1958 and they were married for 59 years.

He enjoyed every minute of life especially watching the Green Bay Packers victories, he also loved to watch Nascar and the Indy 500. Bill was blessed to have been retired for 29 years in which he spent most of his time perfecting his golf game which included his two hole-in-one(s). Every year he loved to plant his vegetable garden. The only thing more important in his life was his family.

Bill is survived by his wife Rose, and five children, Brad (Linda) Jones, Donna Goetz (Chuck Loring), Linda (Bobby) Goheen, Jennifer (Robert) Tschurtz, and Phillip (Jeni) Jones. Along with his nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his parents William and Susan Jones and his four brothers

Fredrick “Fritz” Jones, Robert “Bob” Jones, Johnathan Jones and Charles “Buckskin” Jones.

Visitation will be at Marsh Funeral Home on Sunday, April 30, from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Monday, May 1, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorials to the American Legion Post 771, Gurnee, IL.
