Alan was a wonderful man, a razor wit and one of the most stylish men I have had the pleasure of working with. He was my boss at Bergdorf Goodman and was very, VERY supportive during a very difficult time and an absolutely wonderful Boss!!
I was so very sorry to learn of his passing and owe him a debt that I shall never be able to repay!

Alan, It's been a year since you passed away. I was so happy we reconnected the year before and shared memories of our lives on Wentworth Road.  Today, I will be chatting with Michele. The three of us were the only kids on the street except for our sibblings! We sure had fun making mud pies before the street was even paved! Michele and I will be reminiscing  about all of the fun we had as playmates in 1957. My condolences to your family and friends.

Dear Family,
Over the years, I kept in touch with Alan and we last chatted in Dec. 2022. Today, I went to check in with him. I was sorry to discover he had passed away. Alan and I were best buddies in those early days living in Canton, MA.  Along with Michele Meagher, we had so much fun making mudpies, playing freeze, red rover and street baseball when the road was finally paved and more kids moved in the  neighborhood! Those carefree childhood days, especially during the summer make impressions you never forget. I am so sorry for your loss of Alan. He was such a caring and compassionate person. May his spirit rest in peace in God's Holy Kingdom.

Alan was not only a dear friend but mentor to me. I learned so much from him over the years. He was always kind, thoughtful and endearing. He will be greatly missed. I am so sad I was not able to make it to the funeral but have been thinking of him and his family often. Many blessings and prayers. With love, Emily

I had the opportunity to work with Alan periodically over the last 14 years and I wanted to share my experience with him. Alan was first and foremost a consumate professional. He was passionate about the industry which was infectious and I learned a lot from him with each visit we had. He was definitely one of the nattiest of the natty and his personality was exhibited though his clothing. Emily and I had so much fun getting to know and be with Alan.  The terms Wonderful, Warm, Gracious, and Genuine come to the forefront of our minds. His memory is a blessing just as knowing him added so much to everyone's lives.  Alan's being lives on through his soulmate, Alan, other family members, and friends.  Miss you, Alan.

I met Alan in Boston on my 25th birthday and we bonded immediately. Alan was 21, long page boy, argyle vest, and bow tie. He was always fashion forward!  It was the 70’s and life was good.  Shortly thereafter, we became roommates. We’d spend hours on end watching classic movies from the 40’s. We’d even quote lines from those movies. Now, Voyager with Bette Davis was our favorite. We vacationed together, danced in the clubs together, laughing endlessly! Good times… I moved to NYC 7 years later and he followed to run Louis, Boston when the store opened in NYC. We’ve remained close friends ever since. I will miss you, my dear friend. Until we meet again, Don't let's ask for the moon. We have the stars. 

I met Alan threw Sheryl and Howard,  always new he had a heart of gold and was a very caring person. RIP .

I worked with Alan for many years.  A wonderful person, a talent and as my wife has said, 'a love bug'. We will miss his beautiful spirit. RIP Alan🌹

After a long, HOT day in the car visiting Chicago area clients with me (my A/C didn’t work and it was probably 85° out…), Alan did not miss the chance to make one last stop to say hello to a partner at the Mercedes dealership! (Summer 2012) 

I am shocked and dismayed to hear of Alan’s passing. Alan and I worked together at Bergdorf Goodman. During that time we became very friendly and had lots of good times together, but he was also there for me when life’s stresses got the better of me. His was a very strong shoulder to cry on and he never sugarcoated what I needed to hear whether I wanted to hear it or not. I loved his sense of humor and his quirky laugh. I admired his sophisticated sense of style and his wealth of knowledge about everything fashion. His ability to put together a suit, shirt, and tie was second to none… and he wasn’t shy to boast about it! I know that finding that unique forever love was always a priority and I’m so happy to know that he did. As often happens, life took me down another 
path and we lost touch, but Alan always had a special place in my heart. My sincere condolences to Alan’s husband, Alan, and to the rest of Alan’s family for this profound and untimely loss. May his memory be a blessing.

My condolences to Alan’s family and friends.  Alan was a great guy and a true professional. We worked together a long time ago at Louis in the Down with Louis boutique. It was not surprising to hear he grew his passion for fashion into an incredible career! RIP!

Our dearest Alan loved life and we loved living it with him. Just as we celebrated our birthdays  and other special events at the River Palm,  I look forward to future celebrations when we meet again.  ❤️
