Barbara's memory will live on through the many JewishGen kehilalinks pages she supported for almost two decades. Her generous contributions of time and expertise, together with her awesome partnership with Susana Leistner Bloch, supported the creation of a lasting legacy of otherwise lost Jewish communities. For me, her help was always timely, clear and generous. I will miss her at IAJGS conferences. This is indeed a sad day for our Jewish genealogy community. Rest in peace, Barbara!

Barbara, I just found out today that you are gone.  How I wish I could speak to you directly and know that you could hear my words. Even though you have no immediate family, your memory will live on through the many lives that you have touched. The wonderful work you have done as a genealogist will help to insure your "immortality" and act as your "descendants".  Your friendship and guidance have meant so much to me. 
As president of Genealogy Society of Bergen County, you generously shared your warmth and knowledge. And I can't even begin to list your many contributions to JewishGen. In 2019, you and I traveled together to Cleveland, about 7 hours each way, to my first IAJGS conference, and talked about genealogy the entire time. That will always be one of my fondest memories of you.

Saddened to hear about Barbara's passing. Although I live in Perth Australia, we met numerous times at IAJGS conferences via our collaboration with Susana Leistner Bloch on Jewishgen's KehilaLinks. May her memory be for a blessing.

I too was a friend of Barbara's in high school and at college as well. More recently we reconnected and discussed her interest in ancestry research, among other things. How very very sad I am to learn she is gone. My deepest condolences to all who knew and loved her. May her memory serve as a blessing.
