

Kaufman, Barbara 75, of Bergenfield passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18. In addition to her loving husband of 55 years, Paul, she is survived by three children, Rosalie (Jesse), Edward (Lynne), and Mark (Lisa), and six grandchildren: Rebecca, Jacob, Paul Francis, Grace, Alyson, and Matthew. She is also survived by her brother Eugene and her sister Elizabeth. She was the editor for 10 years of the Twin-Boro News, and had a three-decades-long career as a public relations executive and corporate communications manager for several major corporations. An active member of Temple Emeth, she served on the temple’s Board of Trustees and co-founded the temple’s Renaissance Group. She was also the founding chairperson of the Regional Renaissance Group of the Union for Reform Judaism. She served as Past President of the National Council of Jewish Women – Bergen County Section. All who knew her will remember fondly her brilliant mind, her vivacious spirit, her vibrant sense of humor, and her deeply compassionate nature.Contributions may be made to Temple Emeth or The American Cancer Association in Babara's name.
