Bette R. Verp

Bette Verp of Montville, NJ, formerly of Paterson was predeceased by her husband Martin and daughter Donna and is survived by Debbie and Les Rienhimer, Stephen and Dr. Debbie Verp, and the four loves of her life-granddaughters Alison, Jamie, Jessica and Kyra Rose.

Born in Paterson on March 8, 1933, she grew up on Park Ave with her beloved brother and lifelong friend Ike Weiner. Bette attended Eastside High School ,went on to Syracuse University and graduated from New Jersey State Teacher’s College, and taught at School 5 in Paterson. At the age of 12, she met her soulmate for life Marty Verp and knew she would marry him someday. She married Marty in 1954 and went on to raise a family in Paterson. She cherished the relationships with friends, friends of friends, family, her beloved nieces and nephews and most precious and everlasting bond with her granddaughters. “I love you more.”
