Elliott Young

Elliott Young passed away peacefully on 25 November 2024, at 90 years of age, surrounded by his family. Elliott’s passion was golf. He enjoyed everything and anything about the game, and not only did he play 3 to 4 times a week, he was a salesman in various golf stores over the years.

He was born in Brooklyn NY and at the age of 2, moved with his family to Teaneck NJ where he has lived for most of his life. He served in the military, during peace time, and was stationed at Fort Bragg North Carolina.

Elliott will be missed by all who knew him, but especially his wife, of 69 years, Ruth, his two sons Eric and Jeff, their partners Michele and Lou, their children Carl, Barry, Gabe, Chris, Amber and great grandson Dennis.

Elliott and Ruth enjoyed traveling together, they cruised the seven seas, and visited many countries including Italy, France, the UK, Norway, Sweden, Germany, China, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, South America and Antarctica, just to name a few.

The Shiva will be held at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ, 07601 on Tuesday December 3rd from 3 to 6 pm. Afterward please accept our invitation to a “Nosh” starting at 7pm. The location will be given to visitors at the Shiva.

In honor of Elliott’s continuing generosity with St Jude Children's Research Hospital, a donation can be made, in lieu of flowers.
