

Mendelsohn, Hindley of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away at age 91 following a lengthy illness. Hindley Mendelsohn was also a resident of Fort Lee, New Jersey and Jericho, New York for many years. He was founding Partner and President of GKM Manufacturing Corporation and Marcrene Metals located in Brooklyn New York since their inception in 1957.
Hindley Mendelsohn was one of the co-founders of the Jericho, New York Public Library. He was actively involved in many Jewish philanthropic organizations and was President of the Jericho Jewish Center. His interest and hobbies included contact bridge, golf, reading, as well as model railroads. He is survived by his wife Gerry and two children: Marc Mendelsohn of Bethel, New York and Irene Janov of Penn Valley, Pennsylvania,. Immediate family members include Jedd Levine of Litchfield, Connecticut, and Mindy Levine of Brooklyn, New York as well as six grandchildren Tracy Janov, Danielle Levine, Casey Levine, Jonathan Levine, Micaela Hall, Sandro Hall, as well as one great granddaughter Sabrina Guise.
Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Wednesday May 9th at 1:30P.M. at the Gutterman Musicant Funeral Home located at 402 Park Street Hackensack, New Jersey followed by immediate internment at Beth Moses Cemetery in Pinelawn, Long Island. The immediate family will be sitting Shiva at their apartment located at 1512 Palisades Avenue Fort Lee, New Jersey. Donations in his name and memory may be made to the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, New Jersey.
