Judith Sigel Fox

Beloved wife of David. Cherished mother of Jacob Fox and his wife Eleanor and of Matthew Fox. Loving grandmother of Teddy Fox. Devoted daughter of Miriam Sigel and Rabbi Louis J. Sigel (z’l). Dear sister of Deborah Rutz and her husband Kenneth and sister-in-law of Barbara Luciano and her husband, Anthony. Proud aunt and great aunt of her nieces and nephews.

Born in Malden, MA, Judy moved to Teaneck when she was five and was a lifelong resident. She met her husband of 44 years, David, in the 10th grade at Teaneck High School. Judy was an Early Childhood Educator serving as a teacher and then Assistant Director at the Temple Sinai ECC and then as Director of the Jewish Community Center of Paramus ECC. She also taught in several Hebrew schools. Judy enriched the lives of countless children. She was also an active member of Temple Emeth and received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 16 at 10:00 AM at Temple Emeth, Teaneck, NJ. Shiva will be observed at the Fox’s home in Teaneck.

Donations in her memory may be made to Temple Emeth’s Judith Sigel Fox Endowment Fund, established by her family, or to the Holy Name Medical Center Foundation.
