Born in Brooklyn, NY to Harry and Thelma Greenspan, she attended James Madison High School where she met the love of her life, her devoted husband of 62 years, David Maron. He asked her to the prom on their first date and the rest is a beautiful love story full of travels, business endeavors, kids, grandkids, and lots and lots of laughter. She attended Brooklyn College (BA Psychology), and then Harvard College for special courses. In 1967 they moved to Englewood, where Judie contributed her knowledge and savvy to many organizations including the Englewood Board of Education, Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, the Women’s Club, and Temple Sinai.

She joined her husband’s architectural firm, David Lloyd Maron, Architect, providing business knowledge and interior design services.
Her last career move was to a nonprofit organization called Project Renewal, which provides services for the homeless. She was an integral part of the executive team as Director of Operations and she retired recently after 22 years. Her retirement was a busy one as she campaigned and won a place on the Englewood City Council where she proudly completed three years, holding roles of both Vice President and President of the Council.
She loved spending time with her family, finding jewelry and treasures at garage sales, playing the piano while singing, sharing meals with friends, knitting beautiful scarves, watching British mystery shows, and giving great advice.
