Karen Sue Langfelder (née Sulcov) passed away peacefully at home in Englewood surrounded by her children on May 19, 2017. She was 67. Karen was the beloved mother of daughter Allison Hamilton and her husband Scott, and son Adam Langfelder; adoring Grammy of Sydney and Morgan Hamilton; devoted daughter of the late Sidney and Evelyn Sulcov and dear sister of Mark Sulcov and his wife Lisa and loving aunt of Sara and Steven.
A lover of language, Karen devoted her professional life to teaching. She first taught French and later Language Arts at Alpine Public School over the course of 33 years. Karen loved the ocean, but preferred to stay on the beach. She was a fan of baseball movies, but loved hard-nosed football. She loved to garden and golf. She was an artist and an advocate. She, like her beloved dogs, was a loyal friend.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday, May 25th at 3:00PM at Gutterman and Musicant, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ.
