Mark Joel Sherman

Mark Sherman of Woodbourne, NY died doing what he loved - sailing. After graduating from Hofstra he became a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. A proud veteran he had varied careers. He was a teacher, a contractor and a lawyer. Those who were close to Mark were enriched by his wisdom, his wit and his willingness to finish their meals for them. He was deeply loyal to his friends and Alana, his wife of 49 years, his daughter Rebecca, his grandchildren Hannah, Benjamin and Na'omi and his brother Stephan. Mark was loved and will be greatly missed.

The Funeral Service was held December 15th at the Chapel of the Sanctuary of Abraham & Sarah, with Entombment., Paramus, NJ . 07652.

Shiva will begin today after the service at the home of Gail Zimmerman; 661 Ramapo Valley Rd, Oakland, NJ 07436

SHIVA will continue on Friday 3 PM - 6 PM and Sunday 11 AM - 6PM at Mark & Alana's home; 183 Clark A. Road, Woodbourne, NY 12788.
