

Michael Cooperman of Framingham and Hudson MA passed away on November 22. Born in Zamosc, Poland on June 12, 1931, he was the son of the late Leib and Gitl Cooperman, and the brother of Regina Heilig.
He leaves his beloved wife of 67 years, Helen Cooperman; his children Michele Ribeiro and husband Joao (preceded in death), and Steven Cooperman and wife Johanna; his grandchildren Daniel Ribeiro, Alexandra Ribeiro, Sarah Cooperman, Benjamin Cooperman, and Charlotte Cooperman; and his niece/nephews/cousins (preceded in death and living).
Michael graduated from the City College of New York and the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in Electrical Engineering. He worked until the age of 70 at RCA Laboratories in New Jersey, and Honeywell, GTE, and Verizon Communications in Massachusetts, following his passion of pondering problems and inventing solutions. After retirement, he enjoyed auditing university classes, reading astronomy magazines and books, and building his movie collection. He loved his family above all else, and valued time with his grandchildren, including traditional Thanksgiving gatherings and family vacations. He will be remembered as a kind, loving, and empathetic husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at Gutterman and Musicant Funeral Home in Hackensack NJ on December 1, 2024 at 12:30pm, immediately followed by burial at Beth-El Cemetery in Paramus NJ. The family asks that those who wish to can make a donation to the Mass General Cancer Center in Michael’s memory.
Friends may begin to arrive at 11:45 AM for ample time to pay respects to the family. Our parking lot is located across Park Street (opposite the funeral home).
