Anne-Marie Diane Jeffrey

JEFFREY, Anne-Marie Diane - 52, Halifax, passed away September 4, 2008, in the VG Site, QEII. Born February 5, 1956, in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Vivian (LeRue) Jeffrey. Anne-Marie was the Administrative Secretary for the Department of Physics and Atmospheric Science at Dalhousie University. She took pride in her work and enjoyed assisting others. Everyone who knew Anne-Marie knows the students were her main interest. Anne-Marie always said "The students are the reason for me being here". Anne-Marie was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing; however, her greatest love was for her dogs, Jimmy and Julie. Anne-Marie was interested in everyone she met and always put the needs of her friends and family ahead of herself. Anne-Marie's generous spirit continues on in the lives of those she touched and she will be greatly missed by all who love her. Surviving are her brothers, Richard (Sharon) Jeffrey and Peter (Pam) Jeffrey; sisters, Vivian (Donnie) Jeffrey, Francine (Roy) Christian, and Annette (Jeff) Jeffrey, all of Halifax; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax, where memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 11, with reception to follow. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
