

He is survived by his parents Ted (Jeannette) NB, and Norma McKenzie, Middleton; the love of his life of 34 years, his wife Brenda; their daughters Danielle (Billy), Hfx and Alyssa (Arthur), Chester; their sons Charles and James both of Hfx; 2 granddaughters, Isabella and Carina and 1 grandson Arthur; sisters Nora, Hfx; Juanita (Rodney) Annis, Middleton; Bernadette (Jacques) NB; Hannah (Scott) Allan, Dartmouth; brothers Ted (Lisa) BC; Rick, SK; Harvey (Shirley) MB; Gordie (Jenny) Wolfville; Paul, Amherst, Tony, Hfx, Chris (Corrina) NB; George, MB; Denise (Dan); loads of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as his furbabies Gizmo Joseph, and BabyDog.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He'll be remembered as a great husband, Dad and Papa, son and brother. Carmen enjoyed owning his business as a siding installer and earlier work as a pizza man. His sense of humour was a gift to all. He was born in Antigonish, NS and moved to Hfx as a teenager where he spent the rest of his life.
Cremation will take place. There will be a memorial service at Cruickshank's Funeral Home on 2666 Windsor St. Hfx, NS B3K 5C9, Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. Following the service there will be a reception held at his home - details will be provided at the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family, in trust at Cruickshank's.
