Carolyn was born on August 5th, 1952 in Halifax and was the daughter of the late Arthur Sinclair Sampson and Vera Mae Diggs. Carolyn was a member of New Horizons Baptist Church and accepted the Lord into her heart in 2018.
Carolyn worked tirelessly as a caregiver before retiring after 35 years at Northwood (Halifax site) She was an avid bingo player at the Forum and enjoyed listening to the sweet sounds of her “Man” Percy Sledge. You could hear singing from across the room in that high pitch voice. Her radiant smile lit up any room she entered. That's why she could connect with people from all walks of life and ages. Most importantly Carolyn loved spending time with her family.
Carolyn was known for her hearty laugh and quick wit that always came with a stare and hands on her hip. She was the heart and soul of our family. She was a woman of integrity, kindness, generosity, and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Carolyn may not have liked being the center of attention, simply she deserves to have her long years of motherly love honoured.
We find comfort in knowing that Carolyn's legacy lives on through the lessons she taught us, the love we shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. We are thankful for a life well-lived, making this an excellent example of how to say goodbye with grace, charm, and gratitude.
