My sister Margaret and I are Charlie’s cousins. Our father, Gerald (Marjorie’s sister) was his uncle. Because we lived in Toronto, we made only one visit to Charlie’s family in Nova Scotia. It was a wonderful holiday for us but the most memorable experience was when Charlie took the two of us for an exhilarating drive in his sports car (an MG?) around Citadel Hill. Being several years younger than Charlie, we were very impressed by our cousin who willingly provided great excitement for these two girls!

Our condolences to Charlie’s family,

Linda and Margaret

Dear Mrs Lane, Ken and Family,

Sharing in your sorrow; hoping memories of your husband and father comfort you! I have fond memories of Mr Lane working on his Triumph when we (ski friends) would drop by the family home after Ken would arrive from New Glasgow on the weekends. Just a few years ago!

My condolences,
Heather Bell

Dear Ken, Linda, Megan & Aaron,

We were so sorry to hear of your Dad’s/grandfather’s passing.

I had the pleasure of meeting your Dad once briefly, and could tell by his manner that he was a gentle soul.

It is never easy to lose a parent. We hope that memories of time spent together with him will bring you comfort as you grieve this terrible loss. Thinking of all of you.

Sincerely,
Christine

Joan & Family Members... Our sincere condolences on the passing of Charlie. We count ourselves lucky to have know him over the years. Charlie loved that 1981 Triumph Spitfire and we have fond memories of British car tours with you. I think Charles was the only one able to keep a fire going at White Point with wet wood! He was always in a good mood and with a smile. Just remember the good times with him and that will help you through the sadness. Joan - our thoughts have been with you over these past few days. With fond memories... Nancy & Jim C.
