It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a very dear mother, wife and grandmother. Mom passed away peacefully on December 26, 2018 with her family by her side.
Mom always cherished her time living on Fox Point Lake with dad. She was a great cook and hosted many family gatherings where her lasagna and Caesar salad were always in high demand. She took great pleasure in feeding the ducks and squirrels and she enjoyed the many gatherings and dancing with the gang on the lake, with whom she shared some great laughs over the years. She loved all animals and every moment with the family pets, especially Cleo. She worked for the Halifax Regional School Board as an administrative assistant at both Queen Elizabeth High School and Inglis Street School.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Steve; her children Stephen (Claudia) and Chris (Tammy); her precious grandchildren Ryan and Katie; and her loving mother Marion. She was pre-deceased by her loving father, who meant the world to her, Roy.
The family would like to give thanks to the staff at the QEII Emergency Department and a special thanks to the outstanding staff of 8.4 for going above and beyond to make mom as comfortable as possible in her final days.
There will be no service as the family will be holding a small private ceremony.
