Edward worked for over 20 years with the Department of Public Works. In his spare time Edward loved woodworking, hunting and he also ran a small trucking company.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne (Walker) Asprey; daughter, Lisa (Derrick Forsyth); son, Edward; sisters, Helen, Marjorie, Annie, Mildred, Edith, and Margaret; brothers, John, Ronald, Donald and James; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Laura and Johanna; brothers, William, Thomas, Joseph, Hugh, Frederick, Billy and Henry. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held 2:30pm Friday September 7, 2012 at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
