I am so sorry for the late message as I just found out of Ernie’s passing today. Ernie was my go to Taxi when I travelled from Sydney to Halifax and that was often over the last 23 years.  He was such a joy to chat with and always brought me a tea when I arrived on the early morning flight. I’m so sorry for your loss. He was a presence in life and will be dearly missed.  

I am so deeply sorry for your family’s loss. My memories of Christa are of wonderful times spent with our large extended family as children and as adults, at the many wedding and baby showers that ensued over the years. Christa was always  so funny, and engaging to talk to. It always was such a pleasure to see her over the years. So very sad for the loss of your Dad. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I’m sorry that I never got to meet Ernie, but over the years of family gatherings, certainly heard about him. Our dear cousin Christa was always the center of attention at the beach, in Jollimore, at Showers…her warm sense of humour will be missed by all. Rest In Peace, Ernie and Christa. Deepest condolences to all their loved ones.

My wife and I only knew Ernie for 5 years, but he was a good friend and he always liked my wife’s peck on the cheek and it made him smile every time. We will dearly miss his friendship and his welcoming, xoxo Ernie ❤️

Kenny and Bobby and families,  thinking of you all at this sad time.  Speaking for Mom and Dad they had a few good times in Waterville with Ernie and Christa and Cecil and Pauline.  They are all in our hearts and will be greatly missed.  Although no words of sympathy can ease the loss you bear, Still, may you find some comfort knowing others truly care.

We were surprised to hear about Ernie's passing.  We are so sorry.  He was a great guy with a big heart and large smile.  We remember the parties and you two later on with the oil trucks.  The world of curling just lost a great player!  "What do I do now?  Throw the bomb".  Those were the days....glad you had them   Know that we are keeping you in thoughts and prayers.

I’m so very sorry to read of your Dad’s passing.  He and your Mom were very special people.  I met your Dad through my work at WCB. We were both surprised when we discovered he had helped my brother Jim learn to drive an oil truck and learn all about that business. He was also surprised that I knew Your Mom’s family. Although, we met through work, your Dad became a friend to me and my work partners.  If ever I needed help with something, he always knew who to call.  He was a favourite with our clients as well.  He greeted many a flight and many a patient coming out of hospital! He was dependable and professional always.  As I put your Mom’s ornaments on the tree, I will cherish your parent’s friendship always.

Sharon and I want to express our sincere condolences to Ernie's family and friends on his untimely passing. Needless to say we were shocked with Christa's passing and now with Ernie so soon after is unfathomable. We attended high school together,spent many a Saturday night at Spryfield Firemens Club dances and partook in all night poker games. When I took up driving taxi, I was happy to see a familiar face I knew who kindly passed some business my way. If you met  Ernie, you met a real down to earth man, who had an uncanny memory of never forgetting a person. Ernie was a dog lover and also a decent chef. Keith's ale sales are in for a sudden nose dive, particularly at Mickey's. Although my nickname is "Needle", Ernie insisted on calling me "Noodle", something I will always cherish. We shared many good times together. Rest in peace my dear friend.
