

Fletcher, Ethel June- passed away ever so peacefully on August 18th, 2010 at 6:55pm in the QE II Hospital. June was born in the community of Grand Pre, Nova Scotia on July 16, 1940. Her birth parents were the late Beulah and Arthur Buchanan. On March 23rd, 1979 June married Ellsworth Fletcher, her soul mate of Beechville, Nova Scotia. They were soul mates indeed, sharing two families. June was a wonderful, dedicated, full of gratitude wife and also home maker to her husband and her husband to her. She was her husband’s super wife and nurse, putting all she had to help Ellsworth stay healthy. (Her Knight in shining Armour) June always put others first. She is survived by her husband Ellsworth Fletcher; children, Barb, Rick, Kelly, Joel (Skipper); sisters, Ruby Thompson, Star (Peter Dukeshire); brothers, Robert, William (Shirley), Doug (Jean) and Bruce, as well as favorite nephew Jim. June was a grandmother of five grandchildren, Timberley, Arthur, Rose, Caitlyn and Jamie; four great grandchildren Julian, Danyur, Callen and James, all of whom live away. Children June and Ellsworth shared parenthood are, Gloria, Clifton, Robert, Johnny, Blain, Helen, Elsworth Jr., (Bev), Tereasa, Lisa and Cathy. She is also survived by sister-in-law Marlene Jefferson and brother-in-law Royce David. June is predeceased by her son, Troy Douglas; brothers Archie and Richard; sisters-in-law Diane, Sharon, Linda, Helen, May, Rosie, Kaye and Millicent; brothers-in-law Albert Thompson, Percy, Gordie and Robert Fletcher; and mother in-law Annie Fletcher. Visitation will be held on Monday August 23rd from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 24th at 2pm all in Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2032 Robie Street, Rev.
