Florence Theresa Hagen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Florence Theresa Hagen (nee Faucher) age 92 of Halifax. Mum passed away after a brief illness in the QEII hospital on Saturday April 2nd. The daughter of Frank and Rosie (nee Roma) Faucher, she was born in West Chezzetcook on June 3rd, 1929.

Predeceased by her husband of 58 years Denis, she is survived by children, Joanne, Elizabeth, Michael, (Marika) and Robert (Joan and Sacha), her sister Eleanor Marie Robicheau (Allen) and grandchildren, James, Kathleen, Scarlett and Gracie, and many loved nieces and nephews.

Florence worked before her marriage at Ganongs Chocolate Factory and Canadian Cottons in St. Stephen New Brunswick and at Fairey Aviation in Eastern Passage. And in later years was a longtime volunteer at Northwood Centre.

We would like to thank her in-home care givers, and the Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses, and staff at the QEII for the wonderful care given to our Mum during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the QEII Foundation.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8 from 5-8 pm at Cruikshank's Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, April 9 at 10 am from Saint Mother Teresa of Kolkata Church, 6032 Normandy Drive, Halifax followed by burial at Saint Anslem Parish Church Cemetery, West Chezzetcook.
