It is with great sadness that the family announce his passing at the Veterans Memorial Hospital on July 5, 2022. Born in Halifax July 17, 1933 he was the son of the late Edgar and Emma McGrath.
Frank worked for Canada Post and enjoyed his hobbies that included taking his bike for a ride, swimming and attending card social’s. Frank was involved in many organizations such as, St. Vincent de Paul, Knights of Columbus and the Waeg Woltic Club. He had a long standing involvement with St. Theresa’s Church and community.
He is survived by daughter, Trish (McGrath) Smith her partner Kriby Carruthers, their children Laura and Andrew Smith; son, David McGrath his wife Gail Forsythe, their children Shaye and Connor McGrath, daughter in law Tania (Denton) McGrath; sister, Barbara and brother Johny.
Frank was predeceased by his wife Mary (Young) McGrath; son, Paul McGrath; siblings, Sonny, Michael, Theresa, Carolyn and Jackie.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 20th at 2pm at Saint Theresa Catholic Church, 6351 North Street in Halifax.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
