Eric just sent Mom (Aileen) this picture of her and Frank and I wanted to share it with everyone. They loved each other very much and always talked on their birthdays and holidays, just to say hello and keep in touch.  I imagine Frank smiled and laughed on his end of the phone as much as his sister; they both shared a good sense of humour!

Hi Thea.  Don't know if you remember me because I left Halifax what seems to be so long ago.  Sorry to hear of your Dad's (my Uncle Frank's) passing.  I always remember him as a happy soul!  I guess I am somewhat out of the loop but glad to be informed in the writeup above that he has grandchildren and great grandchildren.  :-)  Praying for you and the family.

Mom, Sandra and I are so very sad to hear about Uncle Frank. He was always smiling and laughing  whenever we stopped by to visit you guys in Halifax. I loved to hear Uncle Frank and Dad joke around and talk about the Blue Jays. He will be missed so  very much. I have no doubt that dad was happy to see Uncle Frank when he showed up at the Pearly Gates. Sending big hugs to you from us.

Thea, Sharon and I were so sorry to hear about Uncle Frank.  We always enjoyed his company, especially at the card parties.  He always sent the funniest cards for birthdays and Christmas.  I’m sure he is settling in to the great card party in the sky with all his family.

I met  Frank, husband of my cousin,  Shirley, when I was very young.  I recall thinking, “What lovely person “. 
I met him again, many years later at a family reunion, put on for me, by my dear cousin, Debbie and assisted by many family members. 
Frank  volunteered,  graciously,  to hold the reunion at his place. I remember thinking again, after the reunion,  “What a lovely person.” 

Rest in peace, dear Frank, and  we send many blessings to all who will miss you and all who love you.  May your journey continue with light.

My brother Frank was a good family man who had a deep faith in the Lord.  Fortunately, I had the chance to talk with him twice before he passed away. He was positive and had come to accept his imminent fate. As children, he christened me "Weiner" and told everyone that I would always eat all the weiners in one of our favourite meals. I suspected that he was the real culprit! Our lifelong friend, Marion Gray/Jones/Kelly, loved the fact that Frank escorted her to her Senior Prom, as she was between boyfriends at the time. Frank was always thinking of others from an early age.  I will miss him.

My husband, Robert (Frank's brother-in-law), and I used to go to visit family almost every summer and mostly stayed at Frank and Shirley's place while we were in Halifax. He would ensure that we got a feed of lobster and I would provide them with shortbread, made from Frank's mother-in-law, Thea's, recipe. They always made us welcome and I look back on these visits with great fondness. Frank had a great sense of humor and always did his best to facilitate our visits with all of Robert's relatives. He will be remembered as a kind and generous person.

Thea and family, sending you our love and prayers. Uncle Frank was one of the best! I have many fond memories of the parties your parents hosted on Vestry St where I was allowed to go to hang out with you.  ❤️ It was always nice to bump into you both over the years in the north end. We’ll cherish our memories as I know you will, too.

Uncle Frank always made me laugh . . .  Whenever Mom and I went to Halifax for a family visit, we usually played Frustration with the sibling gang and Frank was an amazing card player. I swear he counted those cards like a pro! He was also a very positive person and would do anything for anyone. I will miss him, but know we will meet again in Heaven; just a blink of time away. Love you, Uncle Frank.

Thea your Dad was so helpful to me when I first moved to Halifax in 1965. He was kind and generous with his time and advise. I have never forgotten.

Danny and Dellie Stone send their condolences to the family. Dellie especially remembers Frankie, who teased her constantly when she visited the Stone family frequently on Bland St. He was a character.  We are the children of George Stone. Frankie was Dad's first cousin. We always were close to Uncle Willie and Aunt May. and all of the Stone cousins. Frankie especially was the " fun " guy.  I am sure he is up to something in Heaven making people there laugh

Condolences to Frank's family.  It was my great pleasure to work with Frank for several great years at the Guardian Ins Co. He was without a doubt the most knowledgeable and efficient underwriter I have ever worked with. Also bowled with him for several years on the Guardian bowling team. He was a great guy, rest in peace Frank.

Thea, I worked with your father when he came to work at The Guardian Insurance. He was a wonderful man and always very kind to me. We would exchange Christmas cards, along with a letter every Christmas. He mentioned in his 2023 Christmas letter that he no longer bowled and that you had given up your job to look after him. He always mentioned his grandchildren and great grandchildren in his letters. He had wonderful penmanship and I was always amazed at his writing. I am sure you and your whole family will miss him. I know I will certainly miss those Christmas cards, along with the letters. Always signed by him with " love Frank, xoxoxo".

Thinking about you Thea at this difficult time. I always enjoyed talking to Frank. I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend his funeral as I will be enroute from Florida. Maxine Clarke

Thea so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad.  You not likely remember me but I was the receptionist at TD on Barrington Street and your Dad and I used to "flirt" a little bit.  He always gave me a little Xmas gift (a stuffed toy of some sort and I still have them).  We exchanged Xmas cards every year and I so looked forward to hearing about all his adventures.  I will miss getting those cards and hearing from him.  Please know you are in my thoughts and my prayers and I hope the wonderful memories of your Dad help you at this sad time.
