Age 90 of a Halifax passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2013 in the Halifax Infirmary surrounded by family. Born in Tatamagouche on August 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys (Aitcheson) Buckler.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished all times spent with loved ones. She will be sadly missed by all.
She is survived by sons, Robert (Audrey), Barry (Bev) and Lloyd; daughters, Barbara (Peter) Foster, Brenda Rogers, Sherill (Louie) Comeau; also 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sister, Betty Hanson.
She was predeceased by husband Robert; brothers, Frank, George, Robert and Ken; sisters, Marion in infancy, Marnie Grayson, Geneva Mitchell and Doreen Ross; son-in-law Bill Rogers; great grandson Mujahid.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax on Friday, December 27 at 10:00am. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
