It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jenny - Jennifer Lee Mary Jones, 44, of Dartmouth, NS. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.
Jenn passed away peacefully on August 8th at the Dartmouth General Hospital, with loved ones by her side, after a long battle with addiction. This was precipitated by many complex health issues and pain that was impossible to manage.
To know Jenny was to love her. She could light up a room with her smile and was always concerned with the needs of others. Her family and friends will always remember her for the fun, beautiful, smart, generous, and most of all, kind, woman that she was, even when she was struggling deeply.
Jenn experienced a great deal of loss in a short period of time, losing both of her parents, Susan (Tingley) and Chris Jones, as well as her brother, Nick Jones, all within six months of each other.
She leaves behind her beloved brother, Jason (Alessandra) Jones (Rieti, Italy), niece, Alexandra Rose, nephews, Noah Trenholm Jones, Christian Jones, and Nicholas McCormick, all whom she adored, as well as several aunts and uncles, and many cousins and friends.
Jenn was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and Saint Mary’s University. She was an avid traveler who visited many countries and had friends all over the world. She cherished the years she worked at Fan’s Chinese Restaurant and Robertson’s Haven Group Home, helping differently abled youth.
The memory of her bright smile, quick wit and sunny disposition will never be forgotten. Our hearts will forever feel this loss and the emptiness of her absence.
“Those we hold closest in our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they showed, the love they shared, and the memories they left behind.”
Rest in Peace, Jenny.
