Cornelius, Joan Marie 77 years of Halifax passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Earl Boutilier and Jessie Frances Fredericks. She had worked at Wood Brothers, Woolworth and Woolco for over 30 + years. Joan loved going to St. Catherine’s Church Bingo and St. Agnes Church Bingo. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by daughters: Joan Cornelius and Karen La Lande; sons: Robert (Sandra) Cornelius; sisters Violetta Cornelius, Alice (Andrew) Caldwell, Linda Mullins and Jessie Dunphy; brother: Douglas (Linda) Boutilier; six grandchildren: Jennifer, Ryan, Amanda, Dominique, Cody, and Rachelle; one great-grandchild, Abigail. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Oliver Cornelius and brothers: Guy Boutilier and Robert Boutilier. Visitation Thursday: 2-4 & 6-8pm at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street and where Funeral Service will be held 3 pm Friday. Burial following Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
