Kenneth F. Green

Born in Halifax, He was son of the Late Kenneth Frank and Christina Ellen (Mac Isaac) Green. After spending his first 12 years in Halifax, Ken moved with his family to Toronto where he spent his teenage years. After meeting and marrying Christine he returned to Halifax at the age of 19 to start a family. While raising his eight children during a 44 year marriage, Ken Built a successful career in the Halifax construction industry. With a reputation for honesty and integrity, Ken had many loyal customers who stayed with him for decades an whom the he counted as personal friends .Deeply involved with his children’s sporting activities over the years , Ken help found the Metro Minor Softball Association and served as the president of Minor Football Nova Scotia for several years. A fixture on the sidelines of his children’s games, Ken managed to see every call the refs missed. A proud long time resident of the north end Halifax, Ken was happiest when he was enjoying a Keith’s and a cigar with his family and closest friends.

Surviving is his wife Christine Carol (Hansen), daughters Jessica and Jillian, sons Jason(Colette), Jacob( Pam), Joshua(Angie), Justin ( Joelle), Jonathan, James (Amanda); 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Shirley Green ( Mundle) .

Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Monday, May 25,2015 with Funeral Service 2 pm Tuesday May 26,2015 both in Cruikshank’s Funeral Home , 2666 Windsor St. Halifax.
