Judge, Kenneth Howard, 81, 1933 – 2015. It is with the greatest (but joy in knowing Ken has gone to be with his Savior Jesus Christ, our Lord) sorrow we announce the passing of Ken, a devoted, dedicated, dependable husband to Pearl and father to Kory Kendall on August 20, 2015. One of nine children born to the Late George Peter and Elizabeth Wilena (Canning) Judge. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pearl (Wheadon); son, Kory Kendall; twin brother, Jack Wallace (Joan M. Lockhart) and many nieces, nephews, great ones and great-great ones and numerous cousins. Ken was predeceased by his sisters, Bessie O. MacDonald, Velma Snelgrove, Marion Wheatley, Ruby Connors and Doris Moore; brothers, Gerald and Reginald, as well as special nephew, John “Ted” Wheatley (widow Judy Pitcher). Ken was employed over fifty years as a plumber/steamfitter. From 1963 to 1991, he was employed in the Plumbing and Heating Division of the NS Department of Public Works, the last seventeen as Plumbing Superintendent and was presented with citations for his exemplary devotion to his trade. Ken was gifted in being able to see the precise and exact remedy required to correct a problem or malfunction before it was undertaken for repair by him and/or fellow workers. Ken was an experienced house builder, having participated in constructing three houses and remodeling two, in his spare time. Many will miss his down-to-earth manner, sense of humour and quick wit as well as the quality “tea” he prepared for Church Fellowship Time after Sunday service. The remains are resting at Trinity Anglican Church, 321 Main Avenue, Halifax, where he was both a congregant and hands-on volunteer contributor of his vast knowledge, abilities and expertise in construction methods required from time-to-time at the old site of Trinity. He had served on Parish Council. Visitation will be 9:00 am to 12 pm Monday, August 24, 2015 in Trinity Anglican Church with funeral service following at 12 pm. Reception will follow the service. Rev Rob Elford assisted by Rev Diane Parker officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Cruikshanks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations gratefully accepted by Trinity Anglican Church Heating Fund. Interment in Camp Hill Cemetery.
