Marion Skelhorne Paquin-Miller

Paquin-Miller – 88 Marion Emily Caroline (nee Skelhorne) born, January 16, 1922. Passed away September 22, 2010. Predeceased by her 1st husband, Arthur Paquin and 2nd husband, Bernard Miller; 2 infant sons, Thomas and Dennis; granddaughter, Tammy (Nauss); parents, Kenneth and Emma Skelhorne (Rowe); 5 brothers, Delton, Donald, Eric, Murray and Douglas and a sister, Doris (Munier). She is survived by 7 sons, William (Rosetta), Patrick (Cheryl), Garnet (Marlene), Raymond (Deborah) Daniel (Kimberlea), Donald (Nicole) and Stephen; 5 daughters, Jennett (Richard) McFarlane, Sheila, Sharon McNamara, Nancy (Donald) Hiltz and Dorthy (Winston) Parsons. She also has 109 grand and great grand children. Also survived by her 2 sisters, Hilda (Bouchie) Hubbard’s, Betty Skelhorne, Montreal and brother, Lloyd, Montreal and many nieces and nephews. Marion was an active member in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 156, Lakeside. She was also an active member in the Lakeside Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxilly for many years. Marion was well loved and will be remembered in our hearts. She was a wonderful lady. Special thanks to Victorian Order of Nurses, Breakaway Club which she totally lived, especially Paula, Mylinda, Joanna, Jenny and special friend, Joan. Also, special thanks to Northwood Homecare. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9pm on Friday September 24, 2010 and Funeral Service will be held at 11am Saturday, September 25 at Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2032 Robie Street. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery Halifax. Donations in memory of Marion may be made to the Breakaway Club or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
