

Beloved wife of Kenneth Beazley for 74 years, born in Halifax, N.S. on October 8th, 1917, one of the last survivors of the Halifax Explosion. She was the daughter of the late Allen MacDonald and the late Elizabeth (Russell) MacDonald Kelly. She received her education in Pictou and Truro schools. Marjorie was a Homemaker and served on the Catholic Women’s League, receiving honorary recognition in 2005, for 60 years of dedicated service to the C.W.L. She had a great love for gardening and made the “best” apple pie ever. Marjorie was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Kenneth and to her five children she was an inspiration with her love, humour and positive attitude. She is survived by her husband Kenneth, daughter Carol (Terry) Miller of Calgary, sons David (Crystal) of Halifax, Paul (Linda) of Thunder Bay, Gregory (Susan) of Bridgewater and Michael (Carolyn) of Halifax. Marjorie also leaves 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as sisters Jean Curry, Geraldine Landry, Florence St. Arnaud and brother Russell MacDonald. The family would like to thank Robin Carter and staff at Carter Senior’s Care and especially Wendy Cleveland for the care and compassion shown to Marjorie and family. Visitation will be held on September 10th from 6 - 8 at Cruikshanks Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Services will be held at Canadian Martyr’s on Thursday, September 11th at 11:00AM and interment will take place at Gates Of Heaven Cemetery in Lower Sackville, N.S. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Parkinson’s Foundation or charity of choice.
