d'Entremont, Mary (Mae) Julia, age 85 died peacefully surrounded by family after a brief illness on November 22, 2013. Born on September 4, 1928 in Middle East Pubnico, she was the youngest child of the late Thomas Peter and Agnes Mary Amirault. Mae graduated in 1947 from Provincial Normal College in Truro, teaching 6 years in Argyle Municipality. After moving to Halifax she attended Maritime Secretarial School and graduated in 1953. She worked at the Halifax Infirmary in Materiels Management for 23 years, retiring in 1990. Mae loved gardening, oil painting and bowled in a league for many years and in later years she curled at CFB Halifax Curling Club. Mae was married on October 17, 1955 to the late Bernard d'Entremont. They had been blessed with 56 years at the time of his passing on November 4, 2011. They could always be recognized by their walking hand in hand. The pride of their lives was their daughters, son in laws, grandchildren and great grandson. Mae is survived by two daughters, Joanne (Darrell Keezer) of Fredericton, Rebecca (Philip Churchill) of Bedford, as well as four grandchildren, Andrew (Sherry) Keezer, Matthew (Megan) Keezer, Megan Churchill, Christopher Churchill and one great grandson Hudson Keezer. Mae also leaves a brother Francois (Rosalind) Amirault of Middle East Pubnico and many nieces and nephews who were always welcomed at "Tante Mae's & Oncle Bernard's". Beside her parents and her husband, Mae was predeceased by her brothers: Coral, Joseph, and sister Bernadette. We would like to express our appreciation to family, friends and neighbors who supported us from near and far. At Mae's request there will be no visitation. Services will be held 11 am Tuesday at St. Theresa's Church, North St. Halifax; Father Lloyd O'Neill officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Internment will follow at a later date in Middle East Pubnico. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of ones choice.
