Mary Frances Wiswell

WISWELL (Mountain), Mary Frances 89 – It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of a sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Mary passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Arborstone Enhanced Care, Halifax.

Mary enjoyed writing poetry and found great pleasure in taking care of her many pets over the years. She will be remembered for her warm smile and her sense of humour.

Mary is survived by two daughters Carol (Bill) Thompson, Sandy (Phil) Hillier; three sons, George (Gloria); Steven and John; two sisters, Florence Freeman, Alice Greenland; one brother Michael; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Howard and two infant sons, Billy and David; sisters, Lillian and Isabel; brothers, Alan and James.

Visitation: Tuesday, 9:30 am - 10 am at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., October 16, 2012, where Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the S.P.C.A.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Arborstone Enhanced Care for all their dedication and hard work and especially the 4th floor staff who became her family for 7 years.
