Today we are deeply saddened with heavy hearts by the passing of our younger, beloved brother Myar Gordon of ALS. Myar passed peacefully in his sleep at Oceanview Community Nursing Home on May 31, 2023. He was a son of the late Mort and Joyce Gordon.
Myar was a happy guy he made many friends and was an active member of the Beth Israel Synagogue.
He is survived by his sisters; Dianna Levin and Sheri Myer (Bernie); brothers, Jeffrey Gordon (Carol) and James Gordon (Leigh) as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Myar was predeceased by his sister Sonia Ford, niece Nikki Gryfe and brothers-in-law Murray and Gary.
Special thanks to the staff on Skyview and Harbourside. Myar found his place there, he kept positive and his needs were well attended to. They took the time to give Myar the dignity, independence and support he required with his physical decline. He quickly took a liking to all of the staff.
A graveside service will be held at Baron de Hirsch Cemetery on Thursday, June 1 at 2pm. Shiva will be morning services at the Beth Israel Synagogue at 730am.
