

Paulette Joan Bezanson, 77, of Halifax Nova Scotia , passed away on April 28, 2023 at the QEII hospital. Paulette was born on August 25, 1945 to the late Kathleen and Sidney Peskett in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was the wife of the late Stewart Bezanson, the love of her life. In her early years she worked for Spicers Nursing Home in Berwick, NS, where she met her life-long best friend Wanita Tooker and many others. Later on she was employed at Maritime Tel & Tel (MT&T) as an Operator and a Relay Operator and later transitioned to Bell Mobility. Paulette was a big supporter of the labour movement supporting her union as a strong sister and shop steward. Paulette loved hosting family gatherings, going on trips around the Maritimes, Kids, She had a great sense of humour (she loved a good laugh), crossword puzzles and the news. She also had a passion for gardening.
Paulette is survived by her son Brayn Bezanson(Karen) and her daughter Elan Bachmann as well as her only grand-daughter Emily Bachmann. She is also survived by her brothers Ken (Wyn), Ray, Mike (Roseanne) and her cousins (1st best friends in life) Alfie Burns (Linda), Dick (NoNo) Barker, Debbie (Chris) Driscoll, George Barker (Debby).
The Family would also like to give our many thanks to Sally and Dennis Blinn as well as Lynnette Surrette and Gary Thomas, for treating Paulette like family over the years, we cannot thank you enough for the love and care you gave her.
Special thank you to the 8.4 Nursing staff for their care and compassion during Paulette’s final days. It was Paulette’s wish not to have a funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
