Sharon Marie Crowell (Ready) passed away peacefully Monday evening at the QEII Health Sciences Center in Halifax due to complications related to dementia. Sharon was born in Halifax, but spent most of her life living in the Crichton Park area of Dartmouth. She was an avid reader, antique collector and greatly enjoyed long walks around Lake Banook with her beloved beagle, Riley.
Sharon is survived by her son Christopher (Jane) Crowell and her three grandchildren, Avery, Nathaniel and Benjamin. She never truly liked being the centre of attention so, in accordance with her wishes, a private committal service will be held.
In recognition of the exceptional care Sharon received in her final years at the Veterans Memorial Hospital, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour her memory consider a donation to the QEII Foundation. To give, visit QE2foundation.ca.
