

Age 74 of Dartmouth passed away Friday January 15th 2016 at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax with members of his family by his side. He was the son of the late Thomas Daniel Sampson and Margaret Pottie of La’doise, Cape Breton.
He worked at the Halifax Forum as a head carpenter (local 108) until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working with his hands. He was a long-time member of the Halifax and District Dart league and various Legions.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Marilyn (Goodhew) his 5 sons; William (Wellington), Thomas and Rose (Dartmouth), Frederick Jr. and Theresa (Gagetown), Scott (Dartmouth), Mark and Shannon (Dartmouth); sisters, Princess and Beth; grandkids, Colin, Cameron, Skylar, Amanda, Megan, Charlene, Kendra, Sarah; adopted son Rick Stevens(Dartmouth) as well as numerous great grandkids and close family, friends.
He was predeceased by his sister, Esther and brother, Thomas (Sam).

Visitation will be at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home at 2666 Windsor St, Halifax on Wednesday January 20th from 2-4 and 6-8. A Celebration of life will be held Thursday January 21st at 2pm at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be at a later date.
