Adelheid "Heidi" Giessler

Adelheid (Heidi) Giessler, age 88, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023. She was born in Wolfs (Balf), Hungary on September 10, 1934 to Tobias and Elizabeth (Badder) Demmel. She immigrated to Germany in 1946 where she eventually met her husband, Karl Giessler, whom she married in 1957. Karl and Heidi immigrated to the United States in 1959. “Tante Heidi” enjoyed gardening and had quite the green thumb; she also took pride in her cooking and baking and loved entertaining her family and close friends. She was a special aunt, godmother, and second mom.

Heidi was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Karl Giessler; and brother, Oswald (the late Franzi) Demmel.

Heidi leaves to cherish her memory, nephews Rick (Kathleen) Demmel and Ralph (the late Joni) Demmel; grand-nephews Ross (Maddie) Demmel, John Paul Demmel and Tyler Demmel; grand-niece, Emily Demmel; great- grand nieces, Josie, Vivian, and Violet; other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

She will be laid to rest during a private family service at Rose Hill Burial Park, 2421 Princeton Rd., Hamilton, Ohio 45011.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 212 S. Front Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
