Ben Douglas Asher

Age 61 of Clifton Park, NY, formerly of Hamilton, OH, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Ellis Hospital after succumbing to Lymphoma. He was born in Hamilton on September 21, 1953, the son of the late Travis and Edna (Philpot) Asher. On May 31, 1975 he married his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Mary Kay Collopy. After 28 years of marriage she preceded him in death on March 19, 2003. He held many positions in the paper mill industry for over 40 years, including becoming a Firsthand Journeyman Machinist. He was a hardworking, caring, adventurous, loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He is survived by his three children; Bryan Asher, Travis (Lyndsay) Asher and Paige Asher. Four grandchildren; Nickolas, Jeremie, Breiana and Bayleigh. Two brothers; William (Millie) Asher and Ted (Lois) Asher, and one sister, Dianna Asher. You will forever be in our hearts and missed dearly. We love you Daddy. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home on Ross Avenue in Hamilton. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery.
